1. USB Models (most Rolee Polee mice are
USB): The end of the USB cable is a thin rectangle. Plug
the USB cable into any available USB port. The operating
system will automatically detect the Rolee Polee and install
the appropriate drivers.
2. PS/2 Models: The end of the PS/2
cable is round. Plug the PS/2 cable into the round PS/2
mouse port. Reboot (restart) your computer. As the computer
restarts, it will automatically detect the Rolee Polee and
install the appropriate drivers.
3. Using your new Rolee Polee: The
Rolee Polee works just like a standard mouse with the
following exception. The trackball has 2 modes (mouse mode &
scroll mode). To toggle between mouse mode and toggle mode
press the “Scroll Mode Toggle Button” (see photo above).
When in “mouse mode” the trackball acts like a mouse. When
in “scroll mode” the trackball acts like a scroll wheel.

The
Mouse Buttons
Button Number 1:
This is the scroll mode/mouse mode toggle button. Most
people think this is a standard "Left" mouse button, but it
is not. It is a special toggle button that lets you switch
between mouse mode and toggle mode. In Mouse Mode the
trackball functions like a standard computer mouse moving
the cursor around the screen. In Scroll Mode the trackball
functions like a scroll button that lets you scroll up and
down through web pages or other computer documents.
Button Number 2:
This is a standard "right" mouse button. When you press this
button it will open a little pop window with various menu
options depending on what program you are running when you
press this button.
4. Cleaning your Rolee Polee: Stick a
paper clip into one of the holes in the trackball ring (see
photo above) and rotate counter-clockwise. Remove the
trackball and you will notice that there are little rollers
that rest against the trackball when it is in place. Take a
lint free cloth and wipe both the trackball and the little
trackball rollers.
